The NSW Tollway Ombudsman is Australia's newest independent Ombudsman scheme. We exist to resolve disputes and share insights into systemic issues to support toll entities strengthen consumer practices. We provide a free, fair and impartial avenue for dispute resolution, working with consumers, toll entities and industry stakeholders to achieve practical outcomes and strengthen confidence in the tolling sector.

About the Role

Part-time (26.6 Hours per week)
Hybrid working arrangement

We're looking for a proactive, delivery-focused Strategy and Performance Advisor who enjoys taking ownership and turning ideas into action.

You'll work closely with the Senior Manager, Governance, Performance and Engagement and broader leadership team to drive priority work, coordinate key planning and reporting activities and support governance, risk and compliance processes.

This role will suit someone who is a strong writer, drives work forward and takes responsibility for delivering the outcome. You'll be comfortable working in a small organisation where priorities can evolve and there is genuine opportunity to contribute and make improvements.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting annual corporate planning and performance cycles, including the Corporate Plan, Business Plan and Annual Report.

Developing performance indicators and monitoring organisational performance reporting against strategic objectives and business plans.

Preparing and consolidating reports, briefing materials and performance information for executive, Board and Ministerial reporting requirements.

Managing the administration and continuous improvement of risk,



compliance and assurance frameworks.

Coordinating business continuity planning, testing and review activities.

Supporting the development, review and implementation of corporate policies and procedures and maintaining the policy review cycle.

Part-time (0.7 FTE): $109,000-$114,000 + superannuation

About You

You are an organised and adaptable professional who enjoys working in a small team where your work has genuine visibility and impact. You are comfortable working with detail, managing competing priorities and taking initiative to keep things moving.

You bring:

Solid written communication skills with the ability to tailor writing to different audiences and purposes including board papers reports and strategic documents

Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to present information clearly and accurately.

Strong organisational, delivery and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Sound judgement, discretion and professionalism when dealing with sensitive information.

Strong stakeholder relationship skills and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of an organisation.

A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and solving problems.





The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a small, collaborative team.

A commitment to customer service, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Experience working in strategy, risk, governance, or corporate project delivery may be relevant.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, public administration, governance, commerce, law or a related discipline are desirable.
