We know most therapists don't leave jobs because of clients. They leave because they're overworked, unseen, feel like nobody is holding them, while they held everyone else.

Bloom Well-being is a trauma-focused, neuro-affirming practice with sites in Creswick VIC and Capalaba QLD. Over five years, we've built around a few key ideas: therapists do their best work when they are supported, and connected. Demand for our services keep growing, so we're looking for another therapist to join us. Ideally that's someone working four days or full time, but if part time suits your life better, we'd still love to hear from you.

The work

Our clients are people of all life stages; adults, adolescents, children, families and couples, living with complex trauma. That includes survivors of sexual violence and family/domestic violence, long-term childhood trauma, attachment wounds, and dissociation. Many of our clients are neurodivergent and/or queer, and many have tried therapy before and felt it wasn't built for them. Your caseload would be shaped around the clients you like to work with and want to grow with.

What your week looks like

Five clients a day, with time between sessions

Our intake and admin team manage enquiries, scheduling, invoicing and reminders

Paid assistive technology to support your case notes

Paid supervision, both internal and external, individual and peer group

Bi-annual team days focused on connection, reflection and service development

Sensory-considered rooms with dimmable lighting, temperature control and a range of seating

EMDR consultation in house with our founder, an EMDRAA Accredited Consultant

Annual PD budget plus paid study leave (1 week pro-rata'd)

Learning alongside clinicians experienced in complex trauma, parts work and dissociation

Looking after you

Bloom has its own wellbeing policy that funds things that actually help, including your own therapy, health insurance, gym membership, massage, identity-affirming assessments and gender-affirming care.

You might be a great fit if you

Are Medicare-registered; Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker or Mental Health OT

Have at least two years of therapeutic experience

Already practice from a trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, queer-affirming and size-inclusive lens

Value relational work and reflective space more than volume

Highly regarded: EMDR training, experience with complex trauma and neurodivergent clients, familiarity with parts work and dissociation. Lived experience, such as neurodivergence, is also genuinely valued.

We warmly welcome queer, neurodivergent, BIPOC and lived-experience therapists.
If you need adjustments at any stage, let us know. Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
