This is a 12-month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2027 with possible extension and/or permanency. Note: This position is being advertised as part of a recruitment pilot designed to simplify the application process for teachers. A mandatory CV template is provided for use. The remaining AITSL domain will be assessed as part of the further assessment stage, for shortlisted applicants only. The Role

We are ideally looking for a highly organised educator with strong written and verbal communication skills, who can develop and deliver engaging programs that are differentiated, challenging, caring and creative. The successful applicant would display a commitment to catering for the diverse needs of all students to ensure every learner can progress and achieve success. The successful applicant should have the ability to work collaboratively to plan and implement effective teaching and learning programs that align with the Thornlie SHS Business Plan. You should contribute to a positive school culture by maintaining safe and supportive learning environments and by providing opportunities that enable students to reach their full potential. With well-developed interpersonal skills,



the successful applicant will ideally build strong partnerships with students, colleagues, parents, and the wider community to enhance educational outcomes. The successful applicant will ideally display a passion for student engagement and the ability to inspire learners to achieve their personal best. You would work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team, supporting the initiatives and programs within the Design and Technology Learning Area. A commitment to ongoing professional learning and collaboration with internal and external networks is highly regarded. It is highly regarded for the successful applicant to hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) and have the capacity to deliver relevant Certificate II courses as well as experience teaching Years 7-12 Wood and Metals.

- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
