Analyst: Private Credit | Discover Capital | Darlinghurst, Sydney

Discover Capital is a Sydney private credit lender writing first and second mortgages secured by real estate(the business also has access to construction funding albeit not a focus). We're hiring an analyst to work directly with the Managing Director across credit, deal execution and business development.

Two streams, one role

- Principal lending: Discover Capital lends directly, issuing its own term sheets and letters of offer.
- Placement: when a deal falls outside our mandate, you'll place it with our panel of funders.

What you'll do

Primary

- Assess loan scenarios: security, borrower, exit and risk
- Structure deals and prepare funder submissions
- Run each deal through to settlement, including calls with brokers, borrowers and funders

Secondary

- Marketing: content, Facebook and Google ads
- Broker acquisition: cold calls, email campaigns and onboarding

Reporting line

You report to the Managing Director. Credit decisions sit with the Managing Director and the funder's credit team: you recommend, they approve.





What we're looking for

- Attitude. You do what the deal needs, including the days that run late. Pragmatic, reliable, invested in the outcome. This matters more than anything else.
- Genuine interest in property and finance. You know this is the industry you want to build a career in, and you can tell us why.
- Competence and professionalism. You'll deal directly with clients, brokers and funders from day one.

Experience

- Preferred: commercial or private lending
- Also valued: finance-adjacent roles (banking, broking, valuation, accounting)
- Highly regarded: sales or BD experience, or a transparent appetite for it
- Not required: SharePoint, template or funder due diligence pack experience. We'll teach you
