We are an established Kindergarten, part of Faith Lutheran College, Redlands, a K-12 nationally award-winning learning community situated in Brisbane’s Bayside.
Due to exciting growth within the College, our Kindy consists of 4 classrooms, and we’re looking for an experienced and passionate team player to join and lead our team.
We are proud to offer the best of both worlds — the perfect combination of a dedicated Kindergarten and Long Day Care Service. We deliver a quality Government approved program to kindergarten aged children only, with the benefits for families of extended hours / days (6.30am – 6.00pm).
Key responsibilities
Foster and uphold the Lutheran ethos of the Service, working closely with the College, Lutheran Education Queensland and key stakeholders
Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standards (NQS), legislation, regulations and Work Health & Safety requirements
Lead continuous improvement, self-assessment, critical reflection and the development and implementation of the Service's Quality Improvement Plan
Oversee the effective day-to-day management of the Service, including budgets, financial administration, Child Care Subsidy, records, policies, procedures, resources and facilities
Promote high-quality education and care, positive relationships and inclusive environments that support the emotional, social, cognitive, spiritual and physical wellbeing of children
Lead, mentor and support educators and staff through recruitment, induction, rostering, performance development, professional learning, team building and conflict resolution
Build strong, respectful partnerships with children, families, community and key stakeholders,
ensuring effective communication and community engagement
Maintain a safe and compliant environment through effective risk management, WHS practices, training, incident reporting and ongoing monitoring
Promote the Service within the community, support sustainable enrolments and utilisation, and identify opportunities for ongoing growth and improvement
Model a positive, collaborative and professional culture, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning, reflective practice and excellence in early childhood education and care

Qualifications and Minimum Requirements:
Diploma of Early Childhood Education
Have a current WWCC (Blue Card)
Previous experience in a management or leadership role in early childhood
