We are seeking an experienced Electrician (Telecommunications) to join our growing field operations team.

This is a hands‑on role working across critical telecommunications infrastructure, with exposure to DC and AC power systems, generators, batteries, solar, HVAC and site infrastructure.

About the Role

Working across telecommunications site throughout Queensland, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault‑finding and rectification of critical power and associated infrastructure.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Installing telecommunications power systems
- Working with AC and DC electrical systems and distribution equipment
- Installing and maintaining battery systems, rectifiers and associated DC equipment
- Working with standby generators and generator control systems
- Installing and maintaining solar and hybrid power systems
- Working with HVAC and environmental control systems
- Identifying and diagnosing faults
- Conducting electrical testing and rectification works
- Performing site inspections, audits and condition assessments
- Installing, upgrading and commissioning electrical equipment
- Liaising with NOC teams and telecommunications carriers to resolve network issues
- Completing service documentation, reports and compliance records
- Working safely and independently across customer sites

What we're looking for:





You will be an experienced electrician who enjoys working in a field‑based environment and solving technical problems.

- Current Queensland Electrical Licence
- Current driver's licence
- Current LVR/CPR certification
- White Card
- Robust electrical fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to travel to regional and remote sites as required

Highly regarded:

- Experience in telecommunications and telepower systems
- HVAC experience or qualifications, preferably with a Split System Ticket
- Experience working with generators
- Experience with battery systems and DC power
- Experience with solar power systems
- Familiarity with rectifiers, inverters and power monitoring systems
- Previous experience working on Telstra, NBN, TPG, Vocus or similar telecommunications infrastructure
