Danila Dilba Health Service is seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Health Nurse (CHN) to provide culturally appropriate, family-centred care for children aged 0–5 years and their families. This role focuses on early intervention and supporting families with neurodevelopmental concerns to achieve positive health and developmental outcomes. Working collaboratively with GPs, Allied Health professionals, Family Support Workers, and the broader Primary Health Care team, the CHN will deliver high-quality assessments, care coordination, health education, and ongoing support within a holistic model of care.
Key Information
Duration: Part-time fixed term until 30/06/2027 (4 days per week)
- Proposed Working days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
- Location: Gumileybirra (Women’s) Clinic- Unit 4/7 Rolyat St, Palmerston NT 0831
- Base Salary: $105,787 to $113,029 p.a. (RN 3.1-3.3)
What You Need to Succeed
Current registration with AHPRA with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
- Post graduate qualifications in child health.
- Demonstrated experience in working effectively in child health program management and prevention activities with knowledge of the principles of primary health care and program delivery in the primary health care contexts
- Demonstrated the knowledge and understanding of cultural factors and social determinants of health relating to Aboriginal health
- Demonstrated experience and competency in working with Communicare.
- Experience in working in an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service or similar complex environment such as the service industry or public administration.
- Experience in facilitating programs with internal and external service providers.
