- Ongoing Full time role available
- Located at Lake Munmorah, Central Coast
- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $102,936.00 to $113,579.00 plus annual leave loading, employer contributions to superannuation scheme and weekends and public holidays loading

About the role

National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for a Visitor Services Coordinator to work as part of the team and contribute towards the care, control and management of the Central Coast Area.

In this new role, you will lead and supervise the team of Visitor Service Assistants to effectively fulfil the requirements of their roles whilst working in national parks. You will work closely with a range of people, building local partnerships and assisting with planning and delivering community events.

Please note this role is on a 7 day roster and you will be required to work some weekends and public holidays, as per the Award and agreed with your Manager.

About you

To be successful in the role, you will:

- Have a good understanding of the values and experience in the management of natural and cultural heritage.
- Enjoy working outdoors and interacting with a wide range of people.
- Organise yourself and your team by developing rosters, managing budgets, keeping accurate records and other administrative tasks.
- Work safely and manage risks to deliver environmentally and culturally sustainable outdoor activities.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with a wide range of people.
- Lead a diverse team with fairness and sensitivity.
- Have a positive attitude towards working with stakeholders such as community groups, local government, commercial tour operators.

Essential requirements

- Demonstrated experience in team management including the ability to coordinate, supervise,



train and develop a team of staff
- Demonstrated experience managing the development, delivery and administration of programs and projects, ensuring objectives, timelines and quality standards are achieved.
- Capacity and willingness to lead and undertake enforcement and compliance duties
- Current Australian Class C Drivers licence or equivalent
- Certifications or the ability to obtain within 3 months:

- Working with Children Check
- First Aid Certificate
- 4-wheel drive operation and recovery.
- Agency specific Law Enforcement training
