About the Chance

CAPDA Consulting is seeking Compliance Officers and Senior Compliance Officers (APS5 and APS6) to support a major Commonwealth regulatory function responsible for compliance, assurance, investigations and regulatory decision-making.

Working within a high-performing regulatory team, you will undertake compliance assessments, analyse complex information, identify potential risks and non-compliance, and provide advice that supports transparent, evidence-based decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct compliance reviews and assessments against legislative, policy and regulatory requirements.
- Analyse complex information, identify risks and support compliance and assurance activities.
- Gather, assess and interpret information from a range of sources to support investigations and regulatory decision-making.
- Prepare high-quality briefs, reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Support risk-based compliance approaches and contribute to the development of regulatory strategies.
- Build productive stakeholder relationships and provide advice on compliance obligations and regulatory requirements.




- Mentor and support junior team members while contributing to team capability and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills and Experience

- Demonstrated experience in compliance, regulatory, assurance, investigations, audit, governance or similar environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex information and assess risk.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within required timeframes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.

Desirable Skills and Experience

- Experience in compliance, investigations, assurance, audit, governance, risk, regulatory or integrity-related roles.
- Experience working within Government, regulatory, law enforcement, intelligence, compliance or investigative environments.
- Experience analysing complex information, preparing reports and supporting evidence-based decision-making.
- Relevant qualifications in investigations, governance, law, public administration, business, finance, accounting, risk management or related disciplines.
- Experience interpreting legislation, policies, procedures or regulatory frameworks.

The successful candidate must hold a minimum Baseline Security Clearance.
