Project Engineer – Large Class 2 Residential Project

Contract through to end of 2026 | View to Extend | ASAP Start

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a large Class 2 residential building project in Sydney.

This is a great opportunity for a Project Engineer who has strong technical and delivery experience and wants to join an established project team to help drive the project through to completion.

The Opportunity

- Contract role through to the end of 2026, with a strong view to extend
- ASAP start
- Large-scale Class 2 residential project
- Join an experienced project team during an important stage of delivery
- Take ownership of key engineering and project delivery responsibilities
- Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager and broader construction team
- Opportunity for the right person to continue beyond the initial contract

Key Responsibilities

- Manage engineering and technical aspects of the project
- Coordinate subcontractors, consultants and design teams
- Review and manage drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Manage RFIs, technical queries and design coordination
- Assist with procurement, subcontractor coordination and package management
- Monitor construction progress against programme and project requirements
- Manage quality assurance,



inspections and technical compliance
- Assist with resolving construction and design issues
- Work closely with the Site and Project Management teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Maintain robust communication with consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders

About You

We are looking for a Project Engineer with robust experience on large-scale residential or Class 2 projects.

Ideally, You Will Have

- Previous experience working on large residential / Class 2 projects
- Strong technical and construction knowledge
- Experience coordinating consultants, subcontractors and design teams
- Strong understanding of construction methodology, drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of your responsibilities
- Strong commercial and problem-solving skills
- Relevant Australian construction experience
