Emergency Services Officer - Full Time Shift Relief
Are you an experienced Emergency Services Officer ready to take the next step in your career?
Corporate Protection are currently seeking experienced, qualified, and dedicated individuals for our Shift Relief Emergency Services Officer position.
This position reports directly to the National Manager – Fire & Rescue and plays a critical role in supporting the department’s core functions. As a shift relief ESO you will provide operational leadership, employee training and supervision, logistical coordination, and on-the-ground shift coverage across all client locations.
When in the field tasks very depending on the requirements of our clients and may include fire response and protection, hazardous material spills, road crash rescue, confined space rescue, vertical rescue, and security, as well as emergency situational responses relevant to the operating risks of the site's risks and hazards.
Roster: Average 42 hours per week, depending on operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
During shifts in the field respond to fire, road crash rescue/entrapments, technical rescues, hazardous material and other emergency incidents as required.
Operate emergency response vehicles and equipment in a safe and effective manner, including driving a fire appliance and other emergency response vehicles as required, under varying circumstances and conditions.
Undertake duties such as site inspections, confined space standbys and risk assessments
Complete and lead toolbox talks, vehicle pre-start checklists and safety inspections as required
Comply with legislative, policy and procedural requirements appropriate to the position and perform duties in line with best practices.
Complete day to day administrative tasks such as incident reports, local action plans and other general administrative tasks
Ensure employees uniforms,
equipment and vehicles are presentable, well maintained and well stocked in accordance with legislation as well as client and CP requirements.
Lead site deployments of both new and existing employees across our client locations
Assist Corporate Protection leadership with training, rostering, employee supervision and coordination as required.
Liaise with site-based team leaders, attend client meetings and ensure employee training requirements are delivered in accordance with the contracted deliverables
Liaise with internal Corporate Protection teams and suppliers as required
Desired Characteristics:
4 plus years’ experience with as an emergency services officer or operational firefighter
Ongoing education demonstrating a high standard of emergency management technique.
Computer literate with ability to use Microsoft Office programs.
Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Effective consultation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Effective time management, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Demonstrated ability to function effectively as a team leader in a critical environment.
