About the role
Working closely with local Yolngu staff, clinical teams and external scientists, you will provide on-the-ground support to help plan and deliver community-based research activities.
The role will focus on building strong relationships with communities, increasing awareness and understanding of the project, supporting Yolngu-led approaches to research, and ensuring project activities are delivered respectfully and in line with community and organisational protocols.
This is a part-time, fixed-term role until 28 April 2028, with travel to communities across East Arnhem Land.
About you
Miwatj Health Research Team is looking for someone who is passionate about Aboriginal health, community engagement and research and who understands the importance of Aboriginal Community Control and self-determination.
You’ll bring relevant qualifications in science, nursing, epidemiology, research or project management, strong communication and relationship-building skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across communities and with a range of stakeholders.
