About the opportunity:

We are looking for anenthusiastic and compassionate Clinical Nurse – Infection Controlto become part of our dedicated team.

The Clinical Nurse – Infection Control plays an importantleadership role within our Residential Aged Care team. Working inan expanded Registered Nurse capacity, you will take onresponsibilities including Infection Prevention ControlLead (IPC Lead) and Nurse Preceptor, while supporting the delivery of high-quality clinical care in linewith Carinity policies and procedures.

You will have the opportunity to share your knowledge andexperience by mentoring and supporting staff, helping them feelconfident and empowered to provide the best possible ResidentialFocused Care. You will also champion infection prevention andcontrol initiatives, helping to create a safe, welcomingenvironment for our residents, staff and visitors.

Based in Bundaberg, this role offers 71.75 hours perfortnight and is a great opportunity to make a meaningfulcontribution within a supportive aged care team.

Your day-to-day will involve:

- Providing clinical leadership, advice, and guidance oninfection prevention and control practices
- Leading infection prevention and control initiatives tosupport the safety of residents, staff, and visitors
- Monitoring, investigating, and responding to infectionrisks, incidents, and outbreaks
- Supporting the development,



implementation and review ofinfection prevention and control policies and procedures
- Educating, mentoring, and supporting staff to promote bestpractice in infection prevention and control
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to identify andminimise infection risks and enhance resident care andsafety
- Promoting compliance with infection prevention and controlstandards, guidelines and organisational requirements

About you:

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Post graduate qualifications in infection control orwillingness to obtain
- Strong clinical background including demonstratedexperience in Aged Care
- Demonstrated mentoring skills with the ability to guide acare team in clinical best practice
- Knowledge of Aged Care documentation requirements and ACFIassessments
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Demonstrate flexibility to work morning, afternoon, andnight shifts during emergencies
