About the TeamThe Oncology Services Group at Queensland Children's Hospital (QCH) is an active member of national and international collaborative research groups and partners with pharmaceutical companies to conduct clinical trials for childhood cancer and haematology disorders. The Oncology Research Office is responsible for implementing and coordinating clinical trials in accordance with the various international, national, and institutional guidelines.About the RoleYour contribution will include:Research specific roles and responsibilities:Liaise with potential research collaborators and clinicians regarding the set up and running of research projects within the service.Assist in assessment of site feasibility for establishing research studies and clinical trials.Assist in the preparation of documents for ethics and Research Governance documents.Maintain site files.Collect accurate study related data in accordance with the ethics and governance, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) principles and Data Protection laws.Domain 1: Direct comprehensive care or provision of direct careAccountable for Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and own standards, actions and the outcomes of own nursing practice, professional advice given and for activities delegated.Domain 2: Support of SystemsAdhere to established guidelines, protocols, procedures, standards, and systems of work as set out by the unit, CHQHHS and Department of Health, Queensland.Domain 3: EducationAct as a clinical and educational resource within an area based on knowledge, skills, and experience to inform evidence-based practice.Domain 4: ResearchIntegrate advanced theoretical knowledge, evidence from a range of sources and own experience to devise and achieve agreed care outcomes for patients/residents/clients in line with organisational priorities.Domain 5: Professional LeadershipAct as a clinical leader,
