This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2027 Champion Bay Senior High School (CBSHS) are seeking to appoint a passionate and skilled teacher for Career and Vocational Education. CBSHS is the largest Independent Public School in the Midwest region of Western Australia. The Location and Community
The City of Greater Geraldton (CGG) is one of 9 regions of WA and has much to offer in terms of sport, culture and tourism. With a population of approximately 40,000, the CGG covers an area of approximately 472,000 square kilometres and includes the towns of Mullewa and Walkaway. Apart from the significant sporting and cultural activities on offer, Geraldton itself is renowned for its quality lifestyle. Geraldton is the centre of the WA rock lobster industry along with the productive agricultural region that extends to the north, south and east of the city. The Role
We seek a dedicated and collaborative teacher to join our Careers team, to deliver Year 10 Careers and senior school courses in Careers and Employability. This is an exciting opportunity to build on an established Careers Education curriculum and suite of programs, and to help shape how our students connect their schooling to life beyond the gate. We welcome applications from teachers already experienced in Careers Education, as well as those keen to learn - including teachers with a background in Humanities and Social Sciences, English or Technologies, or those bringing industry experience from outside teaching. You will ideally have experience delivering careers education and an understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum senior school Careers and Employability general and Careers and Enterprise Foundation courses is desirable. You should possess the professional knowledge, understandings, and experience to develop and implement an engaging and relevant Teaching and Learning program. In your role, you will deliver a curriculum tailored to the diverse needs of all students, fostering an environment where every student is empowered to reach their full potential and direction for post-school success.

Mobility appointments for permanent metropolitan and south west teachers
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
