About the role

We are seeking a Production Job Coordinator to join Hushpak Engineering on a casual basis but could quickly become a full time role for the right person. Based in Boolaroo, NSW , this role is strategically important to our production operations, ensuring efficient processing of customer orders plus the planning, scheduling, and coordination of manufacturing activities. The Production Job Coordinator will play a key role in optimising our production workflow, managing job scheduling, and maintaining smooth operations across our manufacturing facility. This position offers the flexibility of casual work whilst providing meaningful contribution to our production success.

Key responsibilities

- Review purchase orders against quotations, scope, pricing, delivery dates and commercial conditions.
- Identify discrepancies and obtain clarification before the job is accepted.
- Create the job, work order and job pack in the business system.
- Confirm drawings, specifications, revision status and customer-supplied information.
- Coordinate engineering, drafting, procurement and production requirements.
- Prepare bills of materials, purchase requisitions and subcontracting requirements.
- Confirm materials and components are available before releasing work to manufacture.
- Schedule jobs with the Workshop Supervisor.
- Maintain job records, approvals, correspondence and document control.
- Monitor progress, costs, labour hours, material usage and delivery dates.
- Communicate job status and emerging issues to sales,



production and management.
- Coordinate inspection, quality documentation, dispatch information and job close-out.

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in production planning, job scheduling, or a similar coordinating role within a manufacturing environment
- Robust organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with diverse teams
- Proficiency with production planning software and Microsoft Office applications
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify solutions to production challenges
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team whilst also working independently when required
- Flexibility to accommodate shift work as required by production scheduling
