We are seeking an experienced Closing Duty Manager to join our dynamic team in Fortitude Valley. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient closure of our venue at the end of each operating day. As the senior manager on duty during closing hours, you will ensure all staff follow proper procedures, maintain our high standards of service and hospitality, and safeguard our premises and assets. This role is pivotal in maintaining our reputation for excellence and ensuring our guests leave with unforgettable experiences.

What you'll be doing

- Supervise and manage all closing procedures, including cash reconciliation, till counts and secure banking of revenue
- Oversee the cleaning and sanitisation of the venue to maintain health and safety standards
- Conduct final security checks of the building, ensuring all areas are secure before departure
- Manage and motivate closing shift staff, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to standard
- Handle customer queries and complaints professionally, ensuring resolution to guest satisfaction
- Monitor stock levels and report any discrepancies or issues to management
- Maintain detailed closing reports and communicate any incidents or concerns to the management team
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, health and safety regulations
- Manage the departure of guests and maintain a safe, welcoming atmosphere throughout service
- Support staff wellbeing and provide guidance on operational procedures

What we’re looking for

- 3+ years Proven experience as a Duty Manager or similar supervisory role within hospitality venues, bars, restaurants or hotels
- Strong knowledge of cash handling procedures, point-of-sale systems and financial reconciliation




- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams
- Comprehensive understanding of health, safety and licensing requirements in the hospitality industry
- Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism
- Meticulous attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during closing hours
- Physical capability to manage the demands of closing procedures, including standing for extended periods
- Current understanding of responsible service of alcohol practices
- Flexibility to work varied shift patterns, including late nights and weekends
- Current RMLV and approved managers licence
- Gaming experience is desirable
