Manage cancer clinical trial pharmacy services, support chemotherapy production and deliver safe, patient-focused care at Blacktown Hospital.

Remuneration: $45.81 - $ 47.33 per hour

Where you'll be working
Join the Blacktown Cancer & Haematology Centre, a major cancer service within Western Sydney Local Health District. Our patient-centred team delivers comprehensive cancer care, with research and clinical trials embedded in the service to expand treatment options and improve patient outcomes.

- Work within one of NSW’s largest oncology clinical trial units, supporting sponsored and investigator-initiated research.
- Be part of an integrated multidisciplinary team focused on high-quality, coordinated cancer care.
- Contribute to services that give patients access to emerging therapies and innovative treatment options.
- Work in a dynamic, high-volume workplace where accuracy, collaboration and patient care matter.
- Build your capability across oncology pharmacy, clinical trials, dispensing and medication management.

What you'll be doing

As a Senior Pharmacy Technician, you'll provide specialist technical pharmacy support across oncology clinical trials and cancer treatment services, helping ensure medicines are prepared,



managed and supplied safely and accurately.

- Support cancer clinical trials, including drug distribution, inventory management and trial-related pharmacy activities.
- Undertake chemotherapy reconstitution, dispensing and production activities in accordance with established procedures.
- Deliver timely, accurate and patient-focused pharmacy services across cancer care and other pharmacy areas as required.
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians, support staff and students, contributing to a capable and collaborative team.
- Contribute to quality improvement, performance monitoring and compliance with legislation, policies and medication safety requirements.

Qualification:Pharmacy Technician Grade 3 –Certificate IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support ORhas qualifications deemed to be equivalent.

Selection Criteria:

- Demonstrated good communication skills.
- Demonstrated satisfactory hospital pharmacy experience in Australia (or equivalent)



as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Demonstrated competency in performing complex tasks in specialised areas of hospital pharmacy practice.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise large workload and have good time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Willing and able to participate in sterile (including cytotoxic) manufacturing when required.
- Must be willing and able to work late shifts and overtime on weekends as required.
