About the Role
As an APS5 Investigator, you will work within a supportive and cooperative team environment, conducting compliance and investigative activities under general supervision. You will play a key role in identifying and assessing potential anti-avoidance schemes, gathering evidence, and supporting regulatory decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- - Conduct investigative and compliance activities in accordance with legislative and policy requirements.
- - Gather, review, and analyse information, documents, intelligence, and financial data.
- - Identify discrepancies, risks, and indicators of non-compliance.
- - Use data and intelligence tools to detect emerging risks and high-risk behaviours.
- - Prepare high-quality briefs, reports, correspondence, and recommendations for decision makers.
- - Support the development and implementation of targeted compliance and regulatory strategies.
- - Maintain accurate records and contribute to consistent, quality investigative outcomes.
About You
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
- - Experience in investigations, compliance, regulation, auditing, intelligence, law enforcement, or a related field.
- - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- - The ability to interpret, assess, and synthesise complex information and data.
- - Excellent written communication skills, including report writing and briefing preparation.
- - Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
- - Sound judgement, integrity, and attention to detail.
A Certificate IV in Government Investigations (PSP40416) is highly desirable; however, candidates willing to undertake the qualification with agency support are strongly encouraged to apply.
