Join Ampcontrol's Environmental Services team and play a key role in delivering high-quality environmental monitoring services across Newcastle, the Central Coast and beyond. This hands-on position combines field-based monitoring, equipment maintenance, data validation and compliance activities to ensure the reliability and integrity of environmental data for our customers.

As an Environmental Technician, you'll work with a variety of scientific monitoring equipment, support NATA-accredited environmental services, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that maximise monitoring reliability and data capture rates. If you're a detail-oriented technician who enjoys a mix of field work, technical problem solving and working within a team-oriented team environment, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll do

Reporting to the Environmental Services leadership team, your responsibilities will include:

- Conducting routine environmental monitoring and field-based data collection activities
- Maintaining, calibrating and troubleshooting environmental monitoring equipment
- Supporting compliance with NATA accreditation requirements and customer specifications
- Participating in data validation and reporting processes
- Identifying opportunities to improve monitoring reliability, equipment performance and operational processes
- Supporting environmental monitoring projects across Newcastle, the Central Coast and other locations as required
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance

What we're looking for

To be successful in this role,



you will bring:

- Previous experience as an Environmental Field Technician or in a similar technical field-based role
- Experience working with environmental monitoring instrumentation or scientific equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements
- A proactive approach to learning and developing technical skills
- Reliability, flexibility and a strong work ethic
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Willingness to travel and work remotely when required
