We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of Rosebel Mines by developing equipment manuals, procedures, and best practices that promote safe and efficient equipment use. The successful candidate will support and participate in training-related projects, working closely with the Training Department while ensuring compliance with established policies, practices, and procedures.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Assist the Mine Training Coordinator and Training Supervisors with the planning, coordination, and delivery of employee training programs.
- Support the development and improvement of training lessons, workshops, learning materials, and training content to meet operational and employee development needs.
- Perform administrative duties related to training, including document control, maintaining accurate training records, and assisting with program budget monitoring.
- Support employee development by mentoring employees, assisting them in achieving their performance goals, and promoting best practices and continuous learning.
- Contribute to a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible work environment by supporting policies and procedures, monitoring training activities,



and identifying opportunities to improve safety and operational performance.

The ideal candidate will have:

- HAVO, VWO, IMEAO diploma, or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 1–2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a mining or Mine Operations environment.
- Strong knowledge of equipment associated with Mine Operations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team workplace and collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Willingness to work in Brokopondo on a rotational schedule of 5 days of work followed by 2 days break
- Good communication and interpersonal skills in Dutch and English.
- If selected, you will be required to submit a Police Clearance Certificate (“Bewijs van Goed Gedrag”). Please initiate the request at your respective District Commissariat.
