About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Grounds Maintenance / Mowing Operator to join our Bowraville team.
This role is responsible for maintaining lawns, gardens and outdoor areas to a high standard while working alongside supported employees. The successful applicant will assist with mowing, whipper snipping, general grounds maintenance and other outdoor labouring tasks while contributing to a safe, productive and inclusive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate mowing equipment, whipper snippers and other grounds maintenance tools safely and effectively.
- Undertake lawn mowing, edging and brush cutting activities.
- Assist with gardening, weed control,
pruning and general landscape maintenance.
- Maintain parks, public spaces, commercial premises and residential properties as required.
- Conduct routine inspections and minor maintenance of equipment.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with WHS requirements and safe work practices.
- Transport and load equipment as required.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supported employees.
- Provide guidance and encouragement to supported employees undertaking grounds maintenance activities.
- Maintain a high standard of presentation and professionalism when representing Phoenix Macleay Options.
- Complete tasks efficiently and within required timeframes.
- Undertake other duties within the scope of the role as directed
About You
- Previous experience in mowing, grounds maintenance, landscaping or a similar outdoor role.
- Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual labour.
- Ability to operate commercial mowing and gardening equipment.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience working with people with disability is desirable but not essential.
- Current Driver License (manual license desirable).
- White Card (desirable).
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain.

This position is based in Bowraville, with work performed throughout the surrounding region. Remuneration will be negotiated based on skills, qualifications and experience.
