We're on the lookout for an experienced, driven and people focused Retail Manager.

$70,000.00 - $82,000.00 exclusive of superannuation

About the Role:

As a Retail Manager at Yo-Bar, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day running of your store, leading your team to deliver an exceptional customer experience while keeping operations running smoothly behind the scenes.

You’ll be responsible for everything from team development, training and rostering through to stock control, food safety, store presentation and operational performance. You’ll set the standard on the floor, build capability within your team and make sure the right processes are followed consistently.

This is a hands-on leadership role. We’re looking for someone who loves being amongst their team, isn’t afraid to jump in when things get busy and takes genuine pride in running a great store.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Lead the day-to-day operation of your store and create a positive, high-performing team environment.
- Coach, train and develop Team Members and Team Leaders, identifying opportunities to build capability and improve performance.
- Support the induction and onboarding of current employees, ensuring they understand Yo-Bar's service, operational and safety standards.
- Manage store rosters effectively across our seven-day operation, balancing business needs, productivity and appropriate coverage.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and coach your team to do the same.
- Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally, finding appropriate resolutions.
- Maintain exceptional food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards,



including ensuring your team understands cross-contamination risks and safe food handling.
- Maintain store presentation, cleanliness and merchandising standards.
- Manage stock levels across suppliers while working to minimise waste and maintain product availability.
- Conduct regular stocktakes, investigate discrepancies and ensure correct stock rotation and FIFO practices.
- Monitor your team's operational competency and provide additional coaching or support where required.
- Ensure operational procedures, company policies and SOPs are followed consistently across your store.
- Communicate operational issues to the appropriate departments through the correct Port of Call, including Procurement, HR and other Head Office functions.
- Ensure staffing and recruitment requests are communicated early enough to maintain appropriate store coverage.
- Support and conduct trial shifts for potential new Team Members alongside your leadership team.
- Report maintenance, damaged equipment and store inventory requirements through the appropriate internal processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow, productivity, service standards and the overall operation of your store.
- Provide feedback and operational insights to the wider Leadership Team.

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for someone who can bring together great people leadership and strong retail operations. You don't need to stand on the sidelines telling people what to do. You'll be comfortable getting involved, coaching in the moment and showing your team what great looks like.

Ideally, you'll bring:

- Previous experience managing or leading a team in retail, hospitality,



QSR or another fast-paced customer-facing environment.
- Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Confidence managing rosters, staffing requirements and the operational demands of a seven-day business.
- A genuine passion for delivering an outstanding customer experience.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities without losing sight of the details.
- Experience with stock management, stocktakes, waste control and inventory processes.
- A strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
- Confidence handling customer complaints and resolving issues professionally.
- The ability to hold your team accountable while maintaining a positive, supportive store culture.
- A proactive mindset. You notice when something isn't working and look for ways to make it better.
- Clear communication skills and confidence working with different departments and stakeholders across the business.
- Flexibility around availability, including weekends, evenings and peak trading periods as required.
- A willingness to travel interstate where required to support new store openings, training and wider business growth.
