Automotive Mechanic & Panelbeater- Classic, Vintage & Custom Vehicles.

Pete's Custom Shop is seeking a fully qualified and experienced Automotive Mechanic & Panelbeater to join our workshop.

We are looking for a skilled, reliable and motivated tradesperson who has a genuine passion for classic, vintage and custom vehicles.

The successful applicant must be confident working independently, diagnosing faults accurately and completing repairs to a high standard without constant supervision.

This is an opportunity to work on a diverse range of vehicles, including classic cars, restorations, modifications and custom builds.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out mechanical repairs, servicing and fault diagnosis on a variety of vehicles.
- Perform qualified panelbeating and body repairs.
- Undertake full and partial restorations of classic, vintage and custom vehicles.
- Repair and replace damaged, rusted or deteriorated body panels.




- Perform metal fabrication, welding, cutting, grinding and panel finishing.
- Prepare vehicles for spray painting, including sanding, filling, priming and masking.
- Carry out automotive spray painting, colour matching and refinishing to a professional standard.
- Repair and restore vehicle bodywork, ensuring accurate panel alignment and fitment.
- Undertake custom modifications and fabrication work.
- Disassemble and reassemble vehicles during restoration projects.
- Assess vehicle damage, identify necessary repairs and assist with preparing customer quotes.
- Work independently and manage jobs efficiently from start to finish.
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail and high-quality workmanship.
- Follow all workshop safety procedures, including safe handling of paints, and spray equipment.
