Every building needs fire protection and every system starts on a drawing. As a Designer / Draftsperson in our Fire Protection team, you’ll turn briefs into the technical documentation that gets fire protection systems built on real projects across Melbourne — and you’ll be able to point to the buildings you helped protect.
You don’t need to have worked in fire protection before. If you’re confident in Revit and AutoCAD and have a sharp eye for detail, we’ll teach you the fire protection side.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Meet with clients, builders and other trades to understand project briefs
- Create, review, mark up and produce technical design documentation
- Visit sites to check conditions and keep drawings accurate and current
- Deliver your work to specifications, budgets and timelines
WHAT YOU’LL GET
- Hands-on training in fire protection design and the relevant Australian Standards
- A clear career pathway with an established company that has led the construction industry for over 40 years
- Diverse work across a wide range of projects, with a collaborative team that backs you up
- Hybrid/flexible working arrangements
- Office is close to public transport
- Awesome company culture and cohesive team
- Monthly morning teas and team meets
- 6 wellbeing days a year on us
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (essential)
- Drafting or design experience (architectural, civil, mechanical, building design or similar) — fire protection experience not required
- A sharp eye for detail and accuracy, and the ability to stay calm when deadlines tighten
- Clear written and verbal communication, and a team-first attitude
