We are looking for an experienced and highly organisedService Advisorto join our team at Palm Beach Motors.

This is an important role within our workshop. You will be the key link between our customers and technicians, ensuring customers clearly understand their vehicle's condition, the repairs required, the costs involved and when their vehicle will be ready.

We are looking for someone withexcellent communication skills and strong mechanical knowledge. A former mechanic or someone with solid hands-on automotive experience would be highly regarded.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

- Communicating professionally and accurately with customers regarding vehicle condition, diagnosis, repairs and costs
- Assessing repair requirements and explaining mechanical issues to customers in a clear and easy-to-understand manner
- Preparing accurate quotes and keeping customers informed throughout the repair process
- Preparing and finalising invoices accurately, ensuring all labour, parts and additional work are correctly recorded.
- Managing the workshop schedule and ensuring jobs are completed within the promised timeframe
- Having a good understanding of how long different repairs and services should reasonably take
- Planning upcoming work and ensuring the required parts are identified and ordered in advance
- Sourcing quality parts at competitive and cost-effective prices
- Coordinating with technicians to ensure they have the correct parts and information when work is scheduled
- Monitoring the progress of jobs throughout the day and identifying potential delays before they affect customers
- Maintaining accurate job cards, estimates and invoices




- Ensuring vehicles are ready on time and customers receive clear communication if circumstances change
- Keeping the workshop workflow organised and efficient

What we are looking for

The successful applicant will have:

- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong automotive/mechanical knowledge
- Previous experience as a mechanic, technician or automotive service advisoris highly desirable
- A strong understanding of vehicle repairs, servicing and labour times
- Excellent time-management and organisational skills
- The ability to prioritise multiple jobs and manage a busy workshop
- Good knowledge of parts suppliers and the ability to source parts competitively
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to plan ahead and ensure parts are ordered and ready before scheduled work begins
- The ability to remain calm and professional when the workshop is busy or unexpected issues arise
- A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to completing work on time
- A professional and trustworthy approach when dealing with customers

The person we are looking for

We need someone whotakes ownership of the job from the moment the vehicle is booked in until it is handed back to the customer.

You will need to be proactive, organised and able to look ahead. You should understand that good workshop management isn't just about getting vehicles repaired - it's about having theright parts, the right information and the right amount of time allocated before the work begins.
