The successful candidate will be a hands-on Senior Finance Leader with strong interpersonal and leadership skills who can demonstrate tangible examples of improving finance functions, systems and procedures. You will have previous experience in managing and developing a team. You will also show the ability to work closely and communicate effectively with senior leaders of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Internal management reports, forecasting, KPI reports and variance analysis.
- Lead the annual budgeting process.
- Statutory compliance & reporting – taxation/GST/FBT/Payroll Tax etc,
- Leading change, innovation and continuous improvement in systems, work processes and practices to achieve operational efficiencies.
- Managing, leading and developing our growing finance team
- Maintaining and improving existing performance dashboards for key staff
- Partner with the senior leadership team on strategic growth initiatives
- Lead various projects including significant integrations, as well as the implementation of any new systems and upgrades
- Certain IT and commercial projects
About you:
- Previous CFO experience in a commercial role
- A university degree and either a CA/CPA qualification
- Strong examples of Financial, Operational, Commercial and Strategic Leadership
- An interest and understanding of some of the tools available to streamline the finance function – we’re looking for someone who will challenge the status quo.
- A strong understanding of complex groups and structures
- Advanced skills using Excel
- Advanced knowledge of accounting software (Xero)
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
