The Chance
As our Accounts Officer, you’ll play an important role in supporting PingCo’s day to day finance operations. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you’ll be responsible for accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, payroll support and maintaining accurate financial records across our Australian and international operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day to day accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice processing, payments and customer invoicing
- Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up overdue accounts as required
- Reconcile bank accounts, corporate credit cards and other financial accounts
- Assist with Australian and global payroll processing, including preparing payroll information, checking payroll data and supporting payments
- Liaise with external payroll or EOR providers to support international payroll processing
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure transactions are correctly recorded in Xero
- Assist with cash flow tracking and maintaining cash flow information
- Support month end and year end processes, including account reconciliations and preparation of supporting documentation
- Assist the Finance Manager with financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets and financial information as requested by the Finance Manager
The Opportunity
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in an Accounts Officer, Finance Officer, Assistant Accountant or similar role
- Demonstrated experience across accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Previous experience assisting with payroll is highly desirable
- Qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance or a related field is desirable
- Good Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
- Comfortable using Microsoft 365 applications
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
