A-Grade Electrician – Commercial Service and Maintenance

Join Adapt Essential Services, a family-owned commercial electrical and essential services business based in Dandenong South, with more than 30 years of experience.

We provide electrical installations, maintenance, testing and repairs across council, government, health and private sector facilities. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a qualified A-Grade Electrician for a permanent position within our small, customer-focused team.

$45.00–$49.99 per hour plus superannuation, based on experience.

Company vehicle and mobile phone for work use.

Rostered day off every four weeks.

The role

You will carry out electrical service and maintenance across commercial and institutional buildings, including:

General electrical repairs, fault-finding and maintenance.

Electrical installations and minor project works.

Emergency and exit lighting inspections, testing and repairs.

RCD testing and associated repairs.

Completing accurate job notes,



test results and reports using our digital field systems.

Keeping customers and the office informed of progress, faults and further work required.

Participating in a rostered after-hours on-call system.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

Holds a current Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence.

Has experience in electrical service, maintenance and fault-finding, preferably within commercial facilities.

Takes responsibility for assigned work and follows it through to completion.

Can assess a problem, make sound decisions and seek support when required.

Works independently while remaining a cooperative and supportive team member.

Is organised, punctual and communicates clearly and respectfully.

Is comfortable using mobile apps and computer systems for job records and reporting.

Takes pride in safe, compliant and tidy workmanship.

Is willing to learn our systems and adapt to different sites and customer requirements.

Can accommodate occasional work away from home and agreed after-hours requirements.

Additional requirements

Australian residency.

Police Check and Working with Children Check.

White Card.

EWP licence is preferred.
