Business Development Manager | Engineered Pumps, Fluid Sealing & Dewatering | Gladstone or Brisbane | $250K+ OTE

This isn’t just a sales role. It’s a wealth-creation platform for someone who understands engineered pumps and rotating equipment and has the commercial drive to build a territory.

Queensland’s power stations, alumina refineries, LNG plants, mines and heavy industrial sites all run on critical pumping and fluid handling equipment. When it fails, production stops. The engineers running those sites want one thing: someone who understands the equipment and creates the solution.

Our client is a national supplier of premium engineered pumps, fluid sealing, dewatering and rotating equipment services, with a growing national presence following a recent acquisition.

Reporting to the General Manager, this is a newly created role due to territory expansion.

The Prospect

Own the QLD South territory from Gladstone to the NSW border, based in Gladstone (established office and team) or Brisbane

Protect and grow a $2.4M book, with a clear plan to take it to $4.5 to 5M over three years, and scope for the territory to split as it grows

Sell the full portfolio: engineered and industrial pumps, mechanical seals and fluid sealing, anti-corrosion technologies, dewatering and dredging equipment, repairs and service





Work with major heavy industrial accounts across power generation, alumina, mining and LNG

Talk critical equipment with plant engineers and operators, such as boiler feed pumps, cooling water and process pumping

Use service and product wins to open the door to bigger engineered and turnkey solutions

Help open up LNG, a growth market the business is ready to pursue

Who We Need

An engineer (degree or diploma) who has moved into technical sales, OR

A trade-qualified fitter or technician with further engineering study who has moved into sales or business development

5+ years in pumping, rotating equipment or technical sales, with a strong understanding of service

Commercially minded: you build a plan, work it and grow a territory, not just look after it

Confident with engineers and operators at every level, from the maintenance crew to the plant engineer

Real and credible over polished, a strong communicator who earns trust fast

Happy on the road and on site, and willing to travel regularly from Gladstone to the border

The Package

Base salary + $25,000 car allowance + super + uncapped commissions, with realistic on-target earnings exceeding $250,000 p.a. This structure was built for serious earning potential, and the right person will build freedom and wealth.
