DuNoMo is a B2B payments business operating across Asia Pacific as a Business Payment Solution Provider (BPSP) and Merchant of Record on Visa and Mastercard commercial card rails. We let corporate treasurers pay suppliers, statutory obligations and superannuation using a card facility they already hold, while the beneficiary is paid directly into their bank account. Our platform covers accounts payable, accounts receivable, embedded finance via APIs and a mobile app, with end-to-end reconciliation and payment automation built in, and it integrates with the ERP and accounting systems clients already run. We partner with card schemes, commercial card-issuing banks and financial institutions to improve working capital, control and cash flow visibility for businesses ranging from SMEs to large corporates. DuNoMo is live in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia, with further APAC markets planned.

Role Description

The Head of Treasury & Finance Operations, APAC is a full-time, hybrid role based in Sydney, Australia, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. DuNoMo settles client payments, which depends on acquirer settlement files, scheme reporting, multi-currency bank accounts, client payout instructions and a ledger that must all agree every day. This role is the single, senior owner of that chain. It owns the cash position, settlement, reconciliation and banking relationships across the region, and also leads the Payment Operations desk, so everything from first transaction to final settlement sits under one accountable line. This is a control and execution seat. The role reports directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

- Settlement and funds flow: Own the daily settlement cycle across AUD, NZD, SGD and MYR, from acquirer files in to client payouts out. Resolve failed or held payouts the same day.
- Reconciliation and control: Run daily three-way reconciliation across acquirer, bank and ledger. Clear breaks within SLA, document root cause, and deliver a clean position into month-end close.




- Banking and counterparties: Own the regional banking map, including accounts, KYC requests, limit uplifts and MoR diligence packs. Build redundancy so no market depends on a single provider.
- Cash, working capital and FX: Maintain a rolling cash forecast by entity and currency. Manage intercompany funding and FX exposure, and flag funding needs early with numbers attached.
- Revenue assurance and scheme economics: Verify that MDR, interchange, scheme fees and acquirer invoices are correct, and that incentives and rebates are claimed and received on schedule.
- Governance, audit and reporting: Maintain the finance operations control framework, support AML obligations, respond to scheme, acquirer and audit requests, and produce the daily cash dashboard and monthly operations pack.
- Team leadership: Lead the Payment Operations desk across merchant onboarding, due diligence and transaction monitoring.

Qualifications

Experience: 10–14 years in treasury, settlement or finance operations within payments, acquiring, a PSP, a bank or a regulated fintech, including at least one direct report. A degree in accounting or finance is required; CA, CPA or CTP is welcome. Exposure to MoR, BPSP or aggregator models and scheme settlement is preferred.

Technical: Advanced Excel, strong reconciliation discipline, and fluency with acquirer settlement files and bank statement formats. SQL or BI tooling, ERP administration and ISO 20022 exposure are a plus.

Payments domain: Working knowledge of card economics, including interchange, scheme fees and MDR, and of local clearing rails. Familiarity with BECS, NPP, PayTo and SuperStream in Australia is a plus.

Regulatory: Practical understanding of AML and financial crime obligations in a payments setting. Direct experience with MAS, AUSTRAC or BNM regimes and scheme compliance programmes is preferred.

Personal: Precise, sceptical and unhurried under pressure, and comfortable saying a number isn't right yet. Experience building a control environment from an early-stage base is a strong plus.
