Vice President, Application, Infrastructure & Service Management

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Application, Infrastructure, and Service Management within its Global Technology Services group in Australia. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with a focus on supporting production systems and critical applications. This role requires a professional with hands-on experience in transaction and trading system architecture, as well as the ability to effectively engage with senior business stakeholders. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Production Management Leadership team, responsible for the stability and continuous improvement of critical business applications, and will be expected to lead in local senior management meetings, representing the production management function.Key responsibilities for the VP include ensuring the secure operation of business applications, identifying and implementing opportunities for automation and process optimization, and engaging with users and app owners to resolve service-related queries.



The role also involves developing and updating standard operating procedures, collaborating with Level 3 teams for permanent fixes, and managing stakeholder communication for service status, incidents, and changes. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in computer science or technology, at least 10 years of experience in financial services or related functions, and a strong understanding of business operations. Hands-on experience with UNIX, SQL, and middleware support, as well as exposure to monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, and Grafana, is essential. The company values a strong sense of ownership, problem-solving skills, and a continuous learning mindset, with a preference for candidates who have prior experience in investment banking or FinTech and with cloud technologies.
