- Experience developing business models, financial models, budgets, forecasts and revenue projections.
- A proven ability to identify and assess new business or revenue opportunities.
- Experience taking an initiative from concept through research, feasibility and business planning.
- The ability to understand customers, markets, value propositions and pricing.
- Experience with commercial partnerships, contracts, tenders, funding or investment opportunities.
- The ability to understand and navigate regulatory, legal, risk and compliance considerations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills,

with the ability to develop compelling business cases, proposals and executive/Board papers.
- A strategic, entrepreneurial and outcomes-focused approach.

Experience in an NFP or social enterprise environment will be highly regarded.

This could be you if...

You are the type of person who naturally asks:

Who is the customer? What problem are we solving? What would they pay for? How do we price it? Can we deliver it sustainably? What would it take to get it off the ground?

You enjoy working with ambiguity, testing ideas and turning opportunities into practical business models.

You don't need an established social enterprise to manage. You are excited by the opportunity to help build one.

Why SecondBite?

You will join an organisation with a strong social purpose and the opportunity to create a new, sustainable source of income that can support our broader impact.

You will work across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including Executive Leadership, Operations, Finance, Marketing and Digital, Program Leads, commercial partners, government, corporates, philanthropic investors and community organisations.

This is an opportunity to combine commercial thinking, entrepreneurship and social impact and help shape something that does not yet exist.

What we offer

- NFP Salary Packaging
- Full-time position
- Hybrid working arrangement
- Opportunity to build a new social enterprise from the ground up
- Work within SecondBite and FareShare's purpose-driven environment
