The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Lead Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our team and support a major underground mining operation in NSW. This role will lead the day-to-day execution of fixed plant maintenance, ensuring planned and reactive work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard. You'll work closely with Maintenance Planning, Reliability, Engineering and Operations, providing frontline leadership to maintenance teams and contractors. The role is initially a 6-month contract, with potential for permanent employment. Flexible roster options are available, including FIFO from Brisbane or Sydney, or DIDO for local candidates.

What You'll Be Doing

- Lead day-to-day fixed plant maintenance execution
- Provide leadership to maintenance supervisors, trades and contractors
- Coordinate daily maintenance priorities with Planning and Operations
- Ensure scheduled and reactive work is completed safely and efficiently
- Manage workforce, equipment and resources to support execution
- Lead execution during shutdowns and major maintenance activities
- Monitor work progress,



quality and schedule compliance
- Manage contractor performance and field execution
- Identify and resolve execution constraints and operational priorities
- Ensure compliance with site safety, maintenance and quality standards
- Provide feedback to Planning and Reliability to improve future maintenance activities
- Drive continuous improvement in maintenance execution and field performance

What We're Looking For

- Proven experience as a Maintenance Superintendent, Maintenance Execution Superintendent or Senior Maintenance Supervisor
- Strong fixed plant mining maintenance experience
- Experience leading multidisciplinary maintenance teams and contractors
- Strong understanding of maintenance execution and work management
- Shutdown and major maintenance experience
- Strong safety leadership and field-based decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to work effectively with Planning, Reliability, Engineering and Operations
- Relevant trade, engineering or technical qualification is desirable
- Underground mining or processing experience is highly desirable
