A large Australian enterprise is investing heavily in AI and building the data foundations to put AI agents into production across the business. Most AI programs stall because the data underneath isn't ready. This team exists to fix that, and they need a hands‑on Snowflake engineer to help.

The role

You'll design and build the Snowflake platforms that agentic AI and GenAI solutions run on. That means ingesting and modelling enterprise data, building reliable pipelines, tuning performance and getting governance right so agents can access trusted, secure data at scale. You'll work alongside AI engineers and architects, from early design through to production, partnering closely with business teams across the organisation.

What you'll bring

- Recent hands‑on Snowflake delivery: virtual warehouses, clustering, query optimisation, streams and tasks
- Solid SQL and Python
- Production ELT pipeline experience with tools such as dbt, Airflow, Fivetran or Matillion




- Cloud experience in AWS, Azure or GCP
- Data modelling (star/snowflake schema) and data quality fundamentals
- Snowflake security and governance: RBAC, masking policies, resource monitoring
- Git and CI/CD as standard practice
- Comfortable working with business stakeholders to shape requirements
- Australian citizenship or PR

Good to have

- Snowflake Cortex, Cortex Search or vector search
- Snowpark (Python, Java or Scala)
- Experience preparing data for GenAI use cases such as RAG and embeddings
- Terraform or infrastructure as code
- Financial Services industry experience
