We are looking for an experienced Investment Manager to join our investment team and contribute to the delivery of BUSSQ’s investment strategy, governance and operational oversight.

Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, this is an influential role that will contribute to investment strategy and portfolio construction, manager selection and oversight, investment governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.

You will work closely with the CIO and key stakeholders to support informed investment decision-making and ensure our investment activities continue to deliver sustainable outcomes for BUSSQ members. The role also provides the opportunity to contribute to Board and Investment Committee reporting and provide support and mentorship to other members of the Investment team.

Key responsibilities include:

- Contribute to the development and implementation of BUSSQ’s Investment Strategy and strategic investment objectives.

- Support the CIO in providing advice to the Board and Investment Committee on investment strategy, portfolio construction and key investment matters.

- Participate in investment manager selection, due diligence, monitoring and oversight.

- Prepare high-quality investment reports and papers for the Board and Investment Committee.

- Monitor investment performance, operational risks, regulatory requirements and compliance.

- Support the development and implementation of the Fund’s Investment Governance Framework and investment-related policies.

- Monitor investment risk,



asset valuations and compliance with the Fund’s risk appetite and relevant policies.

- Contribute to asset allocation decisions and reporting across asset classes, investment vehicles and key risks.

- Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, investment managers, advisers and custodians.

- Provide support and mentorship to members of the Investment team and act in the CIO role when required.

To be successful, you will have:

- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in investment management, including at least 5 years in an investment management role within superannuation, funds management or an institutional investment environment.

- Demonstrated investment management experience, including investment manager monitoring, reporting and oversight.

- Experience developing and implementing investment strategies, asset allocation and risk management frameworks.

- Strong knowledge of the regulatory environment applying to superannuation funds, including APRA and ASIC requirements.

- An understanding of SPS 515, SPS 530 and Your Future, Your Super requirements.

- Solid analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.

- A relevant Bachelor’s degree in Investments, Finance, Economics, Business, Actuarial Science or a related discipline.

- RG146 compliance and/or relevant financial services accreditation where required.

- Postgraduate qualifications such as a Master of Finance, MBA or CFA will be highly regarded.
