About the role

We are seeking Azure Cyber Security Engineers to join a growing cyber security capability within a complex enterprise setting.

These are hands-on technical roles focused on implementing, configuring and improving Microsoft Azure security capabilities. Depending on experience, you may work independently on complex security engineering activities or alongside senior engineers while developing deeper capability across the Microsoft security ecosystem.

The environment includes Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Entra ID, Intune and vulnerability management technologies, with opportunities to work across security implementation, monitoring and detection, incident response, vulnerability remediation and continuous improvement.

What you'll be working on

- Implementing and improving security controls across Microsoft Azure and hybrid environments.
- Working hands-on with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Entra ID and Intune.
- Improving security logging, monitoring, detections and alerting.
- Investigating security incidents and supporting technical remediation.




- Identifying and remediating vulnerabilities across cloud and endpoint environments.
- Supporting security hardening aligned with the ISM and Essential Eight.
- Troubleshooting security tooling, configurations and integrations.
- Working alongside experienced cyber engineers, infrastructure, cloud and identity teams.
- Contributing to technical documentation, procedures and security playbooks.
- Continuously improving security tooling and operational security capability.

What we're looking for

Experience with some combination of Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR/Defender for Endpoint, Entra ID, Intune, Azure security controls or Tenable will be highly regarded.

For more experienced candidates, we're particularly interested in demonstrated experience implementing and configuring security technologies, Sentinel/KQL detection engineering, security integrations, vulnerability remediation and Azure security hardening.

For developing engineers, we are looking for good technical fundamentals, practical exposure to Microsoft security technologies and a genuine ability to learn and develop within an engineering-focused environment.
