About the role

This is a Fixed Term Position until 31 December 2027

The Education Lead drives the development and implementation of road safety education policy across early learning, primary and secondary education. The role leads curriculum-aligned content and resource development, ensuring materials are evidence-based, inclusive, culturally responsive and aligned with Victorian education frameworks.

The role builds capability across the education sector and provides expert advice on road safety education, curriculum and pedagogy. It works closely with government, education and community stakeholders to co‑design initiatives, influence practice and support consistent delivery. The role also translates research and policy into practical resources and communicates complex information clearly to diverse audiences.

- Develops clear, evidence-informed policy options and recommendations that consider community needs, government priorities and broader policy impacts.
- Applies strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to interpret complex issues, identify information gaps and develop practical solutions.
- Builds trusted partnerships and co‑designs solutions with stakeholders, navigating differing views to achieve shared outcomes.




- Understands stakeholder needs and organisational contexts, using strong relationships and communication to deliver quality outcomes and positive community impact.
- Promotes an inclusive and respectful approach, valuing diverse perspectives and ensuring programs and outcomes reflect the needs of different communities.

Qualifications and experience

You’llbring:

- A tertiary qualification in Education (desirable)
- Experience working in Victorian school settings in a leadership role (desirable)
- Experience in the design and delivery of school‑based programs and curriculum development (desirable)
- Experience in project management (essential)
