You'll own the full ecommerce engine: acquisition, conversion, retention, Shopify, analytics, paid media, and ultimately the commercial results. You'll work closely with the owner, lead and develop our existing team, and manage our agency partners with confidence.

Ultralight Gear is Sydney's specialist retailer for premium lightweight outdoor gear. We serve a passionate, knowledgeable community of hikers, trail runners and adventurers, online and in store. As we grow, we're looking for someone to take ownership of our online business and drive it forward commercially.

Key responsibilities

- Own online revenue and profitability, with a sharp eye on margin, CAC, MER, ROAS, AOV, CVR and LTV
- Lead paid media strategy across Google and Meta, and challenge agency recommendations, budgets and performance
- Manage and optimise our Shopify store, from merchandising, collections and PDPs to apps and the checkout journey
- Identify conversion issues and build a structured testing and Conversion Rate Optimization roadmap
- Turn GA4 and reporting data into clear decisions




- Oversee SEO together with specialists and agencies
- Coach and develop our marketing team
- Make sure our brand and creative stay solid while we scale
- Make sure our presence across social platforms supports both brand and commercial growth

About you

- Experience in ecommerce, digital or performance marketing, ideally in a DTC or retail business
- A strong commercial mindset and a solid grasp of ecommerce economics
- Hands-on experience with Google and Meta Ads
- Hands‑on experience with social advertising (Meta, TikTok), plus a strong understanding of how social media platforms work and what performs on them
- SEO experience
- Deep Shopify know‑how
- Strong analytics skills (GA4) and a data-driven approach
- A good eye for brand and creative
