Your New Role

We’re looking for an experienced Investment Market Data Manager to ensure our Investments team has reliable access to the market data, research, analytics and external datasets needed to support investment decision-making, trading, portfolio management, risk, performance and operational processes.
This is an influential role combining market data strategy, commercial management, vendor relationships and licensing governance. You’ll manage the full lifecycle of market data services, from understanding business requirements and selecting vendors through to contracting, onboarding, budgeting, compliance, renewal and termination.

You’ll workacross public and private asset classes and build trusted relationships withsenior leaders and teams across Investments, Investment Operations, Technologyand Data, Procurement, Legal, Finance, Risk and Compliance. Externally, you’llengage with market data vendors, exchanges, index and analytics providers, andtechnology platform partners.

As Aware Super’s market data subject-matter expert, you will:

- Lead and develop the market data vendor management function in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide expert guidance on market data products, vendor capabilities, licensing arrangements and usage rights.
- Lead commercial negotiations, renewals and contract reviews alongside Procurement and Legal.




- Manage market data budgets, forecasts, expenditure reporting and cost allocations.
- Evaluate and onboard new market data, research, index, analytics and alternative-data services.
- Identify opportunities to reduce duplication, optimise costs and increase value from vendor arrangements.
- Partner with portfolio managers, analysts, traders and Investment Operations teams to understand and deliver their data requirements.
- Manage relationships with market data vendors, exchanges, index providers and research providers.
- Oversee service reviews, access management, incident escalation and vendor performance.
- Maintain inventories, contracts, entitlements and governance records to support licensing and regulatory compliance

How do you exceed our expectations?

You’ll be an experienced market data orfinancial information professional who can balance complex investmentrequirements with sound governance and strong commercial outcomes.

Ideally, you will bring:

- Around 5+ years’ experience in market data, investment data, vendor management or financial information services.
- Robust knowledge of market data licensing, contracts and commercial negotiations.
- Experience managing vendor relationships, budgets and service delivery.
- An understanding of institutional investment processes and financial markets.




- Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- The judgement to balance investment needs, governance obligations and commercial priorities.
