For more than a century, Caterpillar has helped build a better, more sustainable world. Caterpillar Inc. is shaping tomorrow’s future as the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, off-highway diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives.

Backed by one of the largest independent global dealer networks and financing services through Cat Financial, the company’s primary business segments: Power and Energy, Construction Industries and Resource Industries are solving customers’ toughest challenges through a commitment to commercial excellence and advanced technology. All of this is made possible by our highly talented and dedicated team.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced construction technology sales professional to lead technology growth, adoption and utilisation across the Perth District (WA, SA, VIC, TAS).

This is a senior, field-based individual-contributor role, working directly with dealers and customers to identify opportunities and turn technology investment into measurable customer value.

You will combine commercial judgement with strong jobsite application knowledge, independently lead district priorities and influence dealer and customer stakeholders to deliver results. Success means technology is not only sold and activated, but used effectively to improve labour, productivity, safety and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead district technology priorities and work with dealers to develop and execute practical growth and adoption plans.
- Identify new machine and aftermarket opportunities, develop customer proposals and support dealers in progressing technology sales opportunities.
- Use fleet data, customer insights and market opportunities to prioritise activity and track progress against agreed sales, adoption and utilisation objectives.
- Build relationships with customer decision-makers and dealer leaders, connecting technology solutions to operational and commercial priorities.
- Conduct jobsite reviews and demonstrations to identify productivity, safety and efficiency opportunities.
- Translate technology capabilities into clear customer value and support customers in realising that value after delivery.
- Increase effective use of Cat technologies across installed fleets, including Grade, Payload, VisionLink and safety technologies.

- Identify underutilised technology and agree practical improvement actions with dealers and customers.
- Track adoption and utilisation outcomes, ensuring activity delivers measurable customer value beyond activation.

Dealer Capability & Partnership:

- Build dealer capability to sell, demonstrate and support construction technology adoption and ongoing use.
- Agree priorities, expectations and improvement actions with dealer stakeholders, and review progress against joint plans.
- Deliver targeted training and enablement, supporting consistent technology positioning and customer onboarding.

Cross-Functional Execution:

- Work with product, digital and support teams to coordinate resolution of issues affecting adoption and customer outcomes.
- Provide field feedback on product gaps, training needs and commercialisation barriers.
- Support go-to-market programs and new technology releases, translating them into practical dealer and customer actions.

Skills & Experience Required:

- Demonstrated success in consultative sales, business development or commercially focused application roles within construction technology or heavy equipment.
- Strong understanding of civil construction and earthmoving workflows, with the ability to connect technology to customer productivity and commercial value.
- Practical expertise in one or more of machine control and guidance, payload, telematics or equipment safety technologies.
- Experience independently managing a territory or significant customer or dealer relationships, including engagement with senior decision-makers.
- Demonstrated ability to build customer business cases, influence stakeholders and deliver measurable sales or adoption outcomes.
- Ability to translate data into transparent priorities and actions, with a hands‑on, field-oriented approach.

Preferred:

- Experience developing dealer or channel capability and executing joint commercial plans.
- Experience across multiple construction technology solutions and supporting customer adoption after sale.
