Bellarine Community Health (BCH) has an exciting opportunity for a Dentist to join our Oral Health team at our modern Point Lonsdale clinic. We are particularly keen to hear from experienced Dentists who may be interested in taking a senior role within the team and providing clinical guidance and mentoring to an early-career Dentist as we grow our service. We also welcome applications from graduate and early-career Dentists, who will be supported through a mentoring program. Full-time, part-time and job-share arrangements will be considered, along with a public/private mix of services.

About our service
Bellarine Community Health is a not-for-profit community health organisation providing health and wellbeing services across the Bellarine Peninsula.
Our Oral Health Service operates from our up-to-date Point Lonsdale facility and provides general and emergency dental care to public and private patients, as well as outreach services within schools, preschools and community settings.
You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of Dentists, Oral Health Therapists, Oral Health Educators, Dental Prosthetists and Dental Assistants.
We are committed to high-quality, patient-centred and inclusive care, including dedicated dental pathways for patients with autism and intellectual disability.
About the team
We are a professional, supportive and friendly team of Dentists, Oral Health Therapist, Oral Health Educators, Prosthetist and Dental Assistants. We are accredited and committed to providing a high quality, personalised service based on patient’s needs. Our dental service provides general and emergency dental care, providing care to both public and private patients at an affordable cost and offering an inclusive dental pathway for patients with Autism or Intellectual Disability.
Our dental service is based at our Point Lonsdale site in a modern state of the art facility and provides outreach in community settings such as schools and pre-schools. We operate Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm.
About the role
- Provide comprehensive oral health assessments, diagnosis and treatment planning
- Deliver a broad range of general dental treatment
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based and patient-centred care
- Educate and empower patients to improve their oral health
- Work collaboratively with the broader Oral Health team
- Contribute to continuous improvement and the ongoing development of our service.
For experienced applicants, there is also the opportunity to provide clinical leadership, support and mentoring to early-career Dentists.
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in Dentistry and current AHPRA registration.
- Current Victorian radiation licence.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
- A commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- A commitment to professional development.
Experience mentoringor supporting other clinicians will be highly regarded but is not essential. Graduate and early-career Dentists are encouraged to apply and will be supported through our mentoring program.
