Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga is seeking expressions of interest for the role of Head of Boarding, St. Francis de Sales Regional College, Leeton.

Commencing in 2027, the successful Head of Boarding will be one who can provide an inclusive and caring environment for students that upholds and reflects Catholic values, nurtures students as individuals, is supportive of their wellbeing and is conducive to study.

About the College

St Francis De Sales Regional College is a Catholic Co-educational Day and Weekly Boarding School providing a comprehensive education across Years 7-12, for students from Leeton, Narrandera and surrounding rural areas in the Riverina.

St. Francis has current enrolments of over 600 students and, with true country spirit, places a great emphasis on getting to know our students and their families. Building relationships between students, parents and staff makes the College community warm, welcoming and strong. Our core purpose is educating the whole person.

Your new role

To commence in 2027, the Head of Boarding opportunity at St. Francis de Sales Regional College would appeal to experienced pastoral and boarding leaders who can demonstrate community leadership, strategic leadership and an ability to drive positive outcomes in academic care and wellbeing.





The Head of Boarding is employed by the Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga and is responsible to the Principal of St Francis De Sales College.

It is the responsibility of the Head of Boarding to exercise professional leadership to manage St Francis De Sales Boarding College efficiently, effectively and economically and to liaise with day school staff.

Please note this is a non‑teaching role.

Essential Requirements

- Commitment to the ethos and values of a Catholic boarding community
- Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Effective interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and build team capacity
- A demonstrated understanding of the holistic needs of secondary students and how this impacts on all aspects of boarding
- A current driver's licence
