About the Role
Reporting to the Perioperative Services Manager, you will provide leadership across our perioperative services including Operating Theatre, Day Surgery, Anaesthetics and PACU/Recovery. You will work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe,
effective and patient-centred care while fostering a positive workplace culture focused on continuous improvement and clinical excellence. This role is ideal for a senior perioperative nurse leader who enjoys balancing people leadership with operational management and is motivated by the opportunity to make a genuine difference to both patient outcomes and staff experience. As part of a supportive leadership team, you will have the autonomy to lead your department while contributing to broader organisational objectives and service development initiatives.
About You
Essential
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Significant perioperative nursing experience, including leadership or management experience
- Strong clinical governance, workforce management and operational leadership skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Commitment to patient-centred care, quality improvement and developing high-performing teams
Desirable
- Previous Nurse Manager or equivalent senior leadership experience
- Postgraduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing, Nursing Management and/or Health Management
