Program Leader - Co-Curricular Arts and Culture

Applications are invited for Program Leader – Co-Curricular Arts & Culture. This is a full-time role commencing in January 2027.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Mt St Michael’s College is a vibrant Catholic girls’ school for approximately 900 students from Years 5–12, located in the leafy suburb of Ashgrove just 5km from the Brisbane CBD. The College is renowned for its strong academic culture, broad co‑curricular offerings and a deep commitment to student wellbeing. We seek applications from innovative and passionate educators who are inspired to actively contribute to, and advance, the College’s educational vision.

We are seeking an inspirational and highly organised leader to join our team as Program Leader – Co-Curricular Arts and Culture. This key middle leadership position is responsible for leading and developing a vibrant and engaging Co-Curricular Arts and Culture program that enriches the educational experience of our students and supports the College's commitment to holistic education. The successful candidate will inspire excellence across a diverse range of Co-Curricular opportunities, fostering creativity, collaboration, performance and cultural engagement while strengthening a sense of community and belonging.

The successful candidate will:

Lead the strategic planning, delivery and ongoing development of the College's Co-Curricular Arts and Culture program.

Oversee a diverse range of Co-Curricular arts and cultural opportunities, including performances, productions, exhibitions, ensembles, clubs and special events.

Foster student participation, engagement and excellence through inclusive and innovative programs that encourage creativity and self-expression.

Build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents,



staff and external providers to enhance program outcomes and community engagement.

Manage program budgets, resources, scheduling and operational requirements to ensure the effective delivery of activities and events.

Provide inspirational leadership that reflects the College's values and contributes to a culture of collaboration, high performance and continuous improvement.

THE SELECTION CRITERIA

SC1 An understanding of and commitment to the aims of Catholic Education and the mission, vision and values of Mt St Michael’s College.

SC2 Demonstrated knowledge and in leading, developing and managing high-quality arts and cultural programs that engage students, foster creativity and contribute to a vibrant College community.

SC3 Demonstrated leadership capability, including the ability to inspire and motivate students and staff, manage multiple programs and events, and drive continuous improvement in a energetic educational environment.

SC4 Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate and promote co-curricular activities, including planning, administration, budgeting, risk management and the use of digital technologies to support program delivery and communication.

SC5 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively with students, parents/carers, staff and other stakeholders within a high-performing College culture.
