Key Responsibilities
- Leadthedailyoperationofamulti-shedbroilerfarm
- Managebirdperformance,health,welfare,feedingandwatersystems
- Monitorproductionresultsandimplementactionstoimproveefficiency
- Lead,superviseanddevelopfarmemployees
- Preparestaffrostersandcoordinatedailyworkforcerequirements
- Overseeventilation,temperature,humidityandoverallshedconditions
- Manageshedpreparation,clean-outandturnaroundbetweenproductioncycles
- Maintainstrictbiosecurity,animalwelfareandworkplacesafetystandards
- Coordinateservicingandmaintenanceoffarmequipmentandinfrastructure
- Monitorventilation,feeding,drinkingandgeneratorsystems
- Maintainaccurateproduction,livestockandoperationalrecords
- Usefarmdataandmanagementsystemstotrackperformance
- Workwithexternaltechnicalspecialists,veterinariansandprocessorrepresentatives
- Identifyoperationalissuesearlyandimplementpracticalsolutions
- Reportfarmperformanceandkeyoperationalmatterstoseniormanagement
- Participateinanafter-hoursandon-callrosterwhenrequired
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstratedcommercialbroilerpoultryexperience
- Previouspoultryfarmmanagementexperienceorstrong2ICexperiencereadyforthenextstep
- Provenabilitytoleadandmanageafarmteam
- Strongunderstandingofpoultryproduction,welfareandbiosecurity
- Practicalknowledgeofpoultryshedventilationandenvironmentalmanagement
- Abilitytointerpretproductioninformationandrespondtoperformanceissues
- Strongorganisationalandrecord-keepingskills
- Comfortableusingcomputersandfarmmanagementsystems
- Calm,practicalandaccountableapproachtoproblemsolving
- Currentdriver’slicence
