About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Telco Onsite Project Engineer to join a major telecommunications infrastructure rollout program delivering critical network projects across Australia.
This role offers a unique blend of field engineering, project delivery, stakeholder management, and site coordination. You will be responsible for overseeing on-site activities, managing contractors, supporting technical delivery, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to a high standard.

Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience delivering telecommunications or network infrastructure projects.
- Robust background in site-based engineering, deployment, or rollout programs.
- Experience managing contractors and coordinating field teams.
- Strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and project delivery environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
- Strong reporting, documentation, and organisational skills.
- Willingness to travel interstate and regionally when required
Key Responsibilities Project Delivery & Site Coordination
- Coordinate and oversee site-based project activities.
- Manage installation, commissioning, testing, and deployment works.
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with scope, schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
- Coordinate subcontractors, technicians, and third-party vendors.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and reporting activities.
Technical Support
- Provide on-site technical guidance and engineering support.
- Assist with testing, commissioning, integration, and troubleshooting activities.
- Support issue resolution and technical escalations.
- Verify completed works meet project and engineering requirements.
Safety & Compliance
- Promote a strong safety-first culture across all project sites.
- Ensure compliance with site safety procedures, permits, and legislative requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor contractor compliance.
- Support risk assessments and mitigation planning.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate project records and site documentation.
- Prepare progress reports, site updates, and project status reports.
- Ensure as-built documentation and project handover materials are completed.
- Track project risks, issues, and action items.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the key on-site liaison between project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication across technical and delivery teams.
- Build strong working relationships to support successful project outcomes
Desirable Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Working at Heights and First Aid certifications.
- Experience working within large-scale infrastructure, telecommunications, or technology deployment programs.
