About the role
The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and support Umbo's clinicians (independent contractors) to ensure the delivery of the highest quality speech and occupational therapy services to clients in rural and regional Australia. This position oversees an online therapy hub, consisting of clinicians (occupational therapists and speech pathologists) in partnership with a Practice Manager. This is a fast paced role which will focus on the management of creative service delivery, direct line management of clinicians, NDIS compliance, daily operations and cultivating a strong and connected culture within the hub. The role does not typically carry a clinical load, though there may be involvement in clinical work from time to time. As a middle management role, the Team Leader is expected to fulfil their responsibilities with relative independence and autonomy, with background support and mentoring from the leadership team.
Key responsibilities
Line management of clinical team (up to 14 therapists)
Clinical governance and adherence to practice principles
Clinical support & leadership including mentoring and managing feedback
Operations and compliance oversight to ensure the NDIS requirements are met
Community building within and across the clinical team
Achieve monthly client outcome and revenue targets
About You
Qualified Allied Health Professional, for example, physiotherapist, dietician, psychologist, speech or occupational therapist registered with AHPRA or SPA
Minimum 18 months experience in a senior clinical management role(includes
Experience in working towards achieving targets (outcomes based and financial)

An ability to effectively manage a remote team
A passion and understanding of person-centred, evidence-based practice
A commitment to personal and professional quality improvement and clinical governance
Great verbal and written communication skills
Excellent time management and organisational skills
A desire to help deliver services to rural and regional Australia
Experience working within a private practice or equivalent organisation
