Are you a Speech Pathologist ready to lead, shape and grow a service that makes a real difference to a regional community? This is a key leadership position as Manager Speech Pathology, reporting to the Divisional Operations Director – Acute Allied Health and Ambulatory Aged Care Services, and leading a team of Speech Pathologists and Allied Health Assistants across acute, sub-acute, outpatient and specialist settings.

You will blend strategic leadership with hands‑on clinical work, caring for adult and paediatric patients across the wards, Emergency Department and specialist clinics while setting the direction for a highly visible, innovative service. Relocation and accommodation support is available to make the move.

This is a full-time on‑site, classified Grade 3 (Year 3B–4B)

Your Key Responsibilities as the Manager Speech Pathology:

- Leadership: Lead an outcome‑focused Speech Pathology service across admitted, emergency, outpatient and specialist settings, setting transparent direction and a positive team culture.
- Clinical Governance: Provide strategic oversight of referral, assessment, care planning, discharge and outcome measurement to ensure safe, evidence‑based care.
- Service Improvement: Lead the annual Operational and Quality Plans, drive innovation, and support patient flow across the hospital journey.
- Workforce Development: Recruit, supervise, mentor and develop your team, including graduates and students, and oversee performance reviews and training compliance.
- Resource Management: Manage the department budget, rostering and leave,



and report monthly on financial, workforce, quality and risk KPIs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Speech Pathology on committees and in the allied health leadership team, building strong links with community partners and regional networks.
- Clinical Practice: Maintain a mixed adult and paediatric caseload alongside your leadership responsibilities.

About You:

- Strong clinical Speech Pathology experience across acute, sub‑acute and outpatient settings
- Demonstrated leadership capability or readiness to step into a management role
- Experience supporting service improvement, patient flow, workforce development and clinical governance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A collaborative and patient‑centred approach to leadership
- Commitment to team and self‑development
- Current Australian driver licence
- Essential: Australian Work Rights
- Essential: Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and membership of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA), with eligibility for Certified Practising status
