OSHC Assistant Director - Modbury West School
We are seeking an enthusiastic OSHC Assistant Director to support the daily operations of our Outside School Hours Care service. Working closely with the Director, you will help lead a high-quality program that is secure, inclusive, engaging and responsive to the needs of children and families.

Key responsibilities
Support the Director in the daily operation of the OSHC service
Assist with the planning, implementation and evaluation of engaging, inclusive and developmentally appropriate programs for school-age children
Contribute to a positive, safe and welcoming environment for children, families and staff
Supervise and support educators to ensure quality practice and professional standards are maintained
Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, school staff and the wider community
Assist with administrative tasks including enrolments, attendance records, rosters, communications and compliance documentation
Support the service to meet all legislative, regulatory and organisational requirements
Contribute to quality improvement processes aligned with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and My Time, Our Place
Act in the Director’s role as required, including leading the service in their absence
Promote child safety, inclusion, wellbeing and positive behaviour support practices
About you
Experience working in an Outside School Hours Care , education and care,
or children’s services environment
Demonstrated ability to support or lead a team in a busy and dynamic setting
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Sound organisational and time management skills
A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving
A commitment to providing high-quality care and education for children
Understanding of child-safe practices, inclusion and family engagement
Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and quality standards
An approved qualification in School Age Education and Care, Children’s Services, Early Childhood Education and Care , or similar, as recognised under the Education and Care Services National Regulations
Current Working With Children Check
Current First Aid , CPR , Asthma and Anaphylaxis training, or willingness to obtain
Current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) certificate (or equivalent as applicable)
Current Child Safe Environments training, if required
Valid Responding to Emergencies or other mandatory compliance training, where applicable
Availability to work across before school care, after school care and vacation care programs
